He had been desperately trying to prove his innocence, but now, after emerging from his coma following the fight with Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), Chad (Billy Flynn) will find himself out of options and headed to jail for the Necktie murders on Days of Our Lives.

Eve Attempts Revenge On Chad

Chad has been the main suspect in the murders from the beginning, because he was the last person who saw both Serena and Paige alive, with evidence found at both scenes pointing directly at him. He was also believed to be the murderer after Marlena (Deirdre Hall) came to following her attack and saw him, mistakenly believing he was the killer and saying so. Chad knew he was innocent and thoroughly believed Clyde (James Read) was the one setting him up-but after Will's (Guy Wilson) murder, he realized that Ben was the one behind the crimes. His altercation with him however did not go as well as planned, and he wound up in a coma, with Ben telling a story of Chad breaking in to try and kill Abigail (Kate Mansi) next.

After that, it was decided that once Chad woke up for his coma he would be arrested for the crimes he is being accused of-and now, he has finally opened his uninjured eye and woken up, as soon as Abigail once again flees to his hospital bedside. However, waking up won't bring him good things, as he will learn that Abigail had briefly doubted his innocence after Will's murder and the attack that saw him fighting with Ben.

Hope's Bachelorette Party Ends In Chaos

Added to that drama, once he is discovered to be awake, he will find himself officially under arrest-and entirely out of options when it comes to proving his innocence now-meaning Ben will get everything he wanted.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
