Terrence Howard is dominating the small screen with his role as Lucious Lyon on Fox’s Empire, but this could be his last shebang.

Howard, who has starred in hit movies like Hustle & Flow, Best Man and Crash, revealed that he plans on retiring from the industry after his run on Empire.

Extra TV’s Jerry Penacoli spoke with Howard at the Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation in Denver recently.

“I’m gonna give Lucious the rest that I have, then I’m going to raise my son. I was never as famous as a film actor as I have become now. I’m still trying to stay in the gem with the Cookie Monster,” he joked, referring to his co-star, Taraji P. Henson, who plays Cookie Lyon. “When you got Taraji P. Henson on your coattail I’m like, ‘Am I still number one? Is this still my show?’”

Interestingly enough, it was rumored recently that the two, who starred in Hustle & Flow together, were feuding in real life. While Henson has shut down those reports shortly after they began, Howard took to the opportunity to do the same.

“Never had feud. The only feud we have is who’s gonna have the weekend off? Who’s gonna work the latest on Friday?”

Meanwhile, Howard’s personal life has also been making headlines as he’s been accused of physically assaulting one of his ex-wives. But he made it clear that he and his current wife, who just welcomed a baby boy, are doing just fine.

“I found my one,” he said amid rumors that they were getting a divorce. “If you meet your one, then it all comes together.”
