Grey's Anatomy may have taken a tiny hiatus Thursday night by not airing a new episode, but it will be back with a brand new drama-filled episode to kick off the month of November.

How Will Dealing With Penny On 'Grey's Anatomy' Be For Meredith?

Viewers left off with Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) spilling the beans that Dr. Callie Torres' (Sara Ramirez) new girlfriend Penny (Samantha Sloyan) happened to be among the medical staff that could not save Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd's (Patrick Dempsey) life!

It is definitely going to be a tough struggle for all parties to move on from especially since Penny is joining the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital staff.

In the episode that will air on Thursday, Nov. 5, Meredith will actually attempt to make an effort to make peace with Penny in the hospital since they will be working together.

ABC has given a sneak peek into The Me Nobody Knows, which can be watched below, that shows Meredith working with Penny since Penny was assigned to Meredith's service during her very first day as a resident at Grey Sloan Memorial.

Meredith and Penny are looking at scans of a patient and Meredith asks Penny what she sees in them.

Penny isn't specific enough and Meredith asks her to be more specific.

"Around what? Be specific," Meredith states as Penny flounders, which leads to Meredith pointing out, "The right kidney," before adding, "It's a Grade IV injury" and further explaining what they will need to do just as Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) walks in with Dr. Stephanie Edwards (Jerrika Hinton).

Amelia visibly makes Penny feel uncomfortable from her stare alone. Stephanie tries to ease the tension by talking about the patient at hand since he is a pastor that did something not so pastor-like.

"Word travels fast," Meredith chimes in, which leads to Stephanie making another comment and Penny tries to engage in the conversation, but is shut down especially via a sigh from Amelia.

Meredith then dictates for Penny to get the pastor "ready for transport" and Amelia tells Stephanie to help the new resident.

Amelia then lashes out at Meredith once Stephanie and Penny leave the room.

"It's not enough to have her here in the same building. You invited her on your service too?" Amelia questions while trying to contain her anger.

"I am trying to rise above and you should too," Meredith tells Amelia, but that just upsets Amelia more.

Grey's Anatomy airs on ABC on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.
