The two discount retail chains released some of their early plans for the shopping season, with each promising shoppers that they would offer huge savings all season long, with deals beginning well before Black Friday itself, and extending past then to go through the whole holiday shopping season.

Target has announced plans beginning Nov. 1 which will help give their shoppers a better experience while in stores, and more freedom when they shop online, by bringing back free shipping and returns through Christmas Day, and expanding to international shipping to more than 200 countries and territories. This will be made possible by a partnership with Borderfree, which will also allow consumers to pay in more than 60 different currencies.

The Walmart App will also have a new feature allowing consumers to make their own Wish List or find someone else's, making it easier than ever to find the perfect gift.

The company also intends to be a one stop shop for all kinds of top merchandise and items needed to enhance the holiday.
