Is there any autumn tradition more American than a high school homecoming? The returning alumni, the big game against the school rival, the dance and, of course, the homecoming court.

If you're unfamiliar with the concept, it goes like this: A high school student body nominates and then votes on a group of fellow students to be the king and queen of the homecoming, with the runners-up crowned as prince and princess (although sometimes, the elections are separated between upper and underclassmen). It's a high school community's celebration of itself by holding up those it sees as the embodiment of its very best (who are unveiled at the homecoming dance, natch).

Forget the prom king and queen, the homecoming court is where it's at!

And while we at Enstars may not be in high school anymore, we love the idea of having a homecoming court for our favorite young celebs. But why not mix it up and have the candidates (or more accurately, their fans) square off against one-on-one? So we decided to host our very first Enstars Readers' Choice Homecoming Court Tournament.

The first round was full of intensity for the male celebrities vying for the titles of king and prince, resulting in a bunch of our favorite guys getting cut, but 16 have advanced out of the original 32 vying for the titles.

Here we have 8 of 16 still vying for the titles of king and prince in our Homecoming Court 2015 Tournament with their respective polls. At the end of each round we'll share the results and continue with the next round until we have our Enstars Readers' Choice Homecoming Court 2015 decided.

Below is the guys, part one. You can find part two here. And head over here to vote for part one and part two for the girls.

Voting closes at 5 p.m. EDT on November 5th.

Male Contenders For King & Prince

1. Niall Horan vs. Justin Bieber
This Irish lad is about to release his fifth studio album alongside his three bandmates, which we're super excited about. It happens to be the same day Bieber is releasing his long-awaited studio album Purpose. Horan always keeps the peace between Directioners and Beliebers. Plus, he has always thought so highly of the Canadian he's going head-to-head against. All of these things point to a powerful reign, right?

Bieber has experienced many ups and downs in his career so far and he is still learning. With that in mind, we'd like to see him rule our Enstars Homecoming Court 2015.

2. Shawn Mendes vs. Dylan O'Brien
This Canadian singer is charismatic, talented and really nice, which are all great qualities of homecoming royalty.

O'Brien is also pretty charismatic, talented (times two; he can play the drums aside from act) and really nice. Would you like to see this Teen Wolf star in the next round?

3. Luke Hemmings vs. Jacob Whitesides
This 5 Seconds of Summer member is super chill and funny. A little humor is always welcomed at our Enstars Homecoming Court 2015.

Whitesides goes with the flow and is always up for anything. He even has some sweet dance moves that could be in the spotlight at our Enstars Homecoming Dance 2015.

4. Ricky Garcia vs. Liam Payne
Garcia and his bandmates recently signed a record deal with Hollywood Records so they're flying high and we're certain being part of our Enstars Homecoming Court 2015 would totally add to his excitement.

Like Horan, Payne is part of One Direction and their fifth studio album will be dropping soon and despite some recent personal bumps, Payne is a bright star with loads to offer.
