Enstars Readers’ Choice Homecoming Court 2015 Tournament: Taylor Swift Vs. Selena Gomez, Maddie Ziegler Vs. Ariana Grande & More [POLLS]
Is there any autumn tradition more American than a high school homecoming? The returning alumni, the big game against the school rival, the dance and, of course, the homecoming court.
If you're unfamiliar with the concept, it goes like this: A high school student body nominates and then votes on a group of fellow students to be the king and queen of the homecoming, with the runners-up crowned as prince and princess (although sometimes, the elections are separated between upper and underclassmen). It's a high school community's celebration of itself by holding up those it sees as the embodiment of its very best (who are unveiled at the homecoming dance, natch).
Forget the prom king and queen, the homecoming court is where it's at!
And while we at Enstars may not be in high school anymore, we love the idea of having a homecoming court for our favorite young celebs. But why not mix it up and have the candidates (or more accurately, their fans) square off against one-on-one? So we decided to host our very first Enstars Readers' Choice Homecoming Court Tournament.
The first round was full of intensity for the female celebrities vying for the titles of queen and princess, resulting in a bunch of our favorite girls getting cut, but 16 have advanced out of the original 32 vying for the titles.
Here we have 8 of 16 still vying for the titles of queen and princess in our Homecoming Court 2015 Tournament with their respective polls. At the end of each round we'll share the results and continue with the next round until we have our Enstars Readers' Choice Homecoming Court 2015 decided.
Below is the girls, part one. You can find part two here. And head over here to vote for part one and part two for the guys.
Voting closes at 5 p.m. EDT on November 5th.
Female Contenders For Queen & Princess
1. Taylor Swift vs. Selena Gomez
Swift is actually one of Gomez's closest friends so this shall be an interesting battle. Anyway, the "Wildest Dreams" singer is totally awesome. She is always pretty open, which is refreshing in an industry where typically only what wants to be heard is shared. She can reign with her adorable cats in our Enstars Homecoming Court 2015, right?
Gomez has really come into her own within the last year and it is so beautiful to see. She can definitely be a queen or princess. Plus, she has previously acted the role of a heiress (Monte Carlo) as well as being bestie with a princess (Princess Protection Program) so she knows what royalty is all about.

2. Bailee Madison vs. Gigi Hadid
Madison is an accomplished actress and totally wise beyond her 16 years. She always has the most inspirational things to say that can literally brighten anyone's day. She's totally worthy of being queen or princess, right?
Hadid is such a beautiful model, scoring loads of awesome gigs including walking in the coveted Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2015. Her confidence is truly inspiring and that alone should be good enough of a reason to have her either become queen or princess.

3. Lauren Jauregui vs. Jesy Nelson
This Fifth Harmony member is truly inspiring; spreading love at all times on social media and showing such passion for the things that matter most to her. Her enthusiasm definitely should earn her plenty of votes.
Little Mix darling Nelson is one fierce lady. Her and her bandmates stand for such great things especially when it comes to female empowerment. We wouldn't mind seeing her reign!

4. Maddie Ziegler vs. Ariana Grande
Ziegler is one talented teen. She could literally dance circles around us and we wouldn't be bored. She's totally a viable option for queen or princess given all she has accomplished at such a young age. She's quite the inspiration!
Grande has a new single out that we're totally digging. Plus, she is such a bubbly person, who could definitely rule our Enstars Homecoming Court 2015, right?
