New shocking tidbits of information keep getting revealed on The Vampire Diaries lately especially about Stefan's (Paul Wesley) past.

Why Isn't Mary Louise 'Secure' In Her Relationship With Nora On 'The Vampire Diaries'?

Viewers have learned that Stefan and heretic Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore) had a romantic history that actually runs pretty deep. She was his first love. Katherine (Nina Dobrev) was not, which is pretty massive news. To add to that news, Stefan actually impregnated a then-just witch Valerie, but she lost the baby because of Julian (Todd Lasance).

In the next episode, which is called "Live Through This," Caroline (Candice King) will send Stefan off to talk to Valerie about their past.

In the sneak peek that is below, Caroline says, "I just sent my boyfriend to spend the day with his first love."

In another clip, Caroline tells Bonnie (Kat Graham) the former lovers need this to move on.

"Could be really good for them," she tells her witch best friend, adding, "Clear away all the nineteenth century drama."

Stefan and Valerie will definitely discuss why she never came back to him.

In one clip Valerie tells Stefan, "I was coming back for you," which prompts Stefan to ask, "What happened?"

"I was pregnant," she tells him before a clip between a phone conversation between Stefan and Caroline is briefly shown.

"Is there anything monumental I should know about?" Caroline asks him, but he seems to fib by not bringing up the fact that had things panned out differently he would have been a father.

The Vampire Diaries airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
