Adrienne Bailon had a few words for a viewer of The Real after they came for the talk show and the co-hosts’ interview with Rachel Dolezal.

Dolezal sat down with Bailon and the rest of the co-hosts — Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love and Jeannie Mai — Monday. This was months after Dolezal received backlash for pretending to be an African American woman. Her two Caucasian parents outed her over the summer.

Well one viewer wasn’t a fan of how the ladies grilled Dolezal.

They shared a headline via Instagram Wednesday that said, “Rachel Dolezal is probably wishing she never appeared on ‘The Real’… They had to check her.”

The follower then added a caption that questioned why Dolezal was even asked to come on the show if they were going to “target her.”

“If she wants to be black then let her be.”

The viewer then called out the co-hosts for ”doing exactly what you guys don’t say you don’t do which is pretty much bully a person.”

She added that Dolezal “clearly looked really uncomfortable with the questions.”

Bailon caught wind of the Instagram post and hopped in the comment section to share what really went down during the now viral interview. She made it clear that Dolezal was very aware of all of the questions she would be asked and even said it was okay for the co-hosts to ask them.

Bailon added, “But she chose to dance around them.”

She went on to say that she doesn’t have any “issue” with Dolezal “wanting to be black.”

“All we asked for was honesty. ‘Keeping it real’ is part of black culture. God bless.”
