Now in its sixth season on television, CBS' "The Big Bang Theory" still continues to increase in popularity with its ratings growing non-stop. Currently on a short hiatus, the show will return to the airwaves on Jan. 31 with another highly anticipated episode.

The CBS network released the following description of next Thursday's installment, which is titled "The Cooper/Kripke Inversion:"

"Sheldon is forced to work with Barry Kripke and faces a crisis of confidence. Meanwhile, Howard and Raj spend $1,000 on action figures of themselves."

In regards to the upcoming episode, actor Jim Parsons, who plays the role of Sheldon, spoke to TV Guide on whether he feels his character would ever think of having sex with Amy (Mayim Bialik).

"And he doesn't rule it out, which gives me encouragement that we might be going there," he said.

While the geeky couple's big romantic moment won't be taking place on Valentine's Day, the episode will reportedly feature some heartfelt Amy/Sheldon memories, with Penny and Leonard's relationship hitting another obstacle.

Screencrush is reporting that the "Big Bang Theory" cast is currently rigorously working on a future Valentine's Day episode.

Johnny Galecki (Leonard) recently dished on the Feb. 14 installment to The Hollywood Reporter while also hinting at what lies ahead in terms of romance on the show.

"It's a big one for Leonard and Penny - there might be somebody getting down on one knee. The ball is still in her court. The last couple of seasons have really been about her emotional inabilities," he said. "It's made that character of Penny a well-rounded one, and you'd assume [their breakup] would always be Leonard's fault, but he's been a pretty good partner to her."

"The Big Bang Theory" will return and air "The Cooper/Kripke Invasion" at 8 p.m. EST on Jan. 31.
