Following Kailyn Lowry's Wetpaint Entertainment confirmation of the new season, a report has hit the web, claiming Leah Messer and Chelsea Houska nearly left the series after season five.
"Last season, both Leah Messer and Chelsea Houska were hesitant to sign on. Leah Messer even quit the show, but later signed on for Season 6," The Ashley's Reality Roundup reported weeks ago.

Although Messer and Houska were on the fence after filming Teen Mom 2 season five, they ultimately returned, and according to The Ashley's source, they likely will return for season seven, as well.
“I highly doubt that they would continue without one of the lead girls,” their source explained.
Meanwhile, Messer may be left to share her story alone.
Months ago, as filming wrapped on season six, Corey Simms reportedly quit the series, along with wife Miranda, and possibly Messer's second husband, Jeremy Calvert.
“Corey is done with the show,” a source told Life & Style in July. “He’s told MTV he will not return for another season. He doesn’t think the money is worth the aggravation anymore.”
“Jeremy also wants out of Teen Mom,” the source added, “but he hasn’t made any formal moves yet.”
