Robert Pattinson & Kristin Stewart Having a 'Trial Separation,' Actor Arrives in Australia Alone (VIDEO)
Robert Pattinson touched down in Australia on Jan. 17 without Kristen Stewart to begin filming his next film "The Rover."
As the British hunk was en route to Down Under to start working on the futuristic-themed movie, a source close to Pattinson slipped that he and Stewart have agreed to separate temporarily while he is in Australia.
"Rob and Kristen are on a trial separation right now," a source told Hollywood Life. "For Kristen, it's all or nothing. She's ready for marriage, but Rob is over the relationship."
"When Rob returns, they'll assess their relationship, but he doesn't want to get back together, because she's co-dependent."
The move may come as shock to some because the couple happily walked the red carpet together at several "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2" premieres in November. But unbeknownst to fans, Pattinson has been "shaky ever since the cheating scandal," the source added.
The film company behind the "Twilight" franchise is not happy that the couple may be apart for a while. Executives at Summit Film Company are "freaking out" because they were hoping that the couple to stay together until the DVD release of the final movie.
"They want Rob and Kristen to stay together until 'Breaking Dawn Part 2' is released on Blu-ray on March 2," the source revealed.
While their reported break up has been much talked of this week, Pattinson didn't appear heartbroken at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 13, where he presented an award. He told a German news outlet on the red carpet before the ceremony that he would head to Australia this week for a nine-week movie shoot.
Enstars reported on Jan. 16 that the couple split again over the weekend, right before the Golden Globes. A source revealed that the split was the reason Stewart did not attend the ceremony with Pattinson and the insider said Pattinson wants to take a break for a while.
Stewart was last seen with Pattinson at an exclusive VIP Golden Globes after party thrown by the show's co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
