Update: Oprah and Lance Armstrong Exclusive Interview Recap- Part 1

Lance Armstrong's interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which he reportedly admits to doping throughout his cycling career, will air Thursday and Friday on the OWN network.

The athlete was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and banned for life from the sport in October of 2012. He denied for years that he used performance enhancement drugs during his career as a cyclist but he declined to take the case to arbitration and the evidence released by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency remained against him.

His sponsors dropped him and he was forced to step down from the Austin, Texas-based Livestrong Foundation, the cancer-fighting charity he founded in 1997 known for its yellow bracelets.

His interview with Winfrey was taped in his Austin home on Monday. Armstrong told The Associated Press about the terms of his interview with Winfrey, saying, "I told her to go wherever she wants and I'll answer the questions directly, honestly and candidly. That's all I can say."

An insider told USA Today that Armstrong, 41, will admit to the charges but "probably will not get into great detail about specific cases and events." The source spoke on the condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.

The Livestrong Foundation said Wednesday that they hope Armstrong will be "completely truthful and forthcoming" in her interview with Winfrey. The interview was conducted in Armstrong's home in Austin, Texas, the same area where Livestrong is based.

The interview, "Oprah and Lance Armstrong: The Worldwide Exclusive," will simultaneously stream live on the OWN website and Oprah.com at 9 p.m. ET. Click here to watch the interview. The interviews, which will air in two parts on Thursday and Friday, will be until 10:30 p.m. ET.
