Jamie Dornan might be one of the most popular actors in Hollywood right now, but unfortunately he's not getting the kind of recognition for his work that his fans say he deserves. The Irish-born heartthrob failed to receive an award for his portrayal at Paul Spector in the hit BBC thriller "The Fall" at the Royal Television Society Awards in Belfast this past week.

According to Belfast Live on Friday, the popular series was shut out by the crime thriller Line of Duty, which is also filmed in Northern Ireland.

Unfortunately, Dornan was not at the awards show, and neither was his co-star, American actress Gillian Anderson.

Meanwhile, there's a new rumor that says fans will be able to see Dornan in the flesh soon.

According to Belfast Live on Wednesday the on-screen Christian Grey has been linked to play the role of Frank McGuinness on the stage. While Dornan has not made any comments about the possible role, the show is scheduled to take debut in August of 2016 in Ireland's capital of Dublin.

The show will also hit the road on the Dankse Bank stage at the Lyric Theater before moving to Belfast.

So far, Dornan has not made any comments about the rumors.
