TLC Band: T-Boz Shames Fans Who Say Group Stole Money From Fans [VIDEO]
Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins has a few words for those who think TLC scammed fans out of their money when they raised funds for a new album via a KickStarter campaign.
#TLCIsGoingToJail Trends On Twitter, Fans Accuse Group Of Stealing
The hashtag #TLCIsGoingToTJailParty became pretty popular a few days ago after a fan asked about their money. But T-Boz is making it clear that they would not steal from their fans and supporters like Katy Perry, who donated $5,000 for the upcoming studio album.
T-Boz called in to The Rickey Smiley Morning Show to clear the air.

“If people would do their research…We’ve sent emails weekly to everybody who donated. I refuse to address ignorance because there’s a lot of followers out there and they hear one comment and they jump on the bandwagon and fail to do their research. That’s what I find disappointing.”
She went on to say they have gotten more backlash from their own race, which she also said is disappointing.
“It’s mostly our people doing it. You don’t see other races on the Internet dogging other people out the way Black people do each other. It’s embarrassing and unfortunate to me. That more so than you trying to assassinate my character. What y'all should be worried about is your lack of knowledge, your lack of research.”
Her comments come just days after the hashtag “#TLCIsGoingToJail” started trending on social media. Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas has not addressed the backlash yet.
