Is the leading man of Coldplay going to make an appearance in the final season of Downton Abbey?

Something 'Quite Shocking' Will Happen To Lady Mary On 'Downton Abbey'

That seems to be a possibility despite the fact that the last season has already aired in the United Kingdom. But perhaps, there might be a way to squeeze Chris Martin in somehow.

In last Friday's report from The Hamilton Spectator, Martin revealed that he is a big fan of the British drama during his appearance on Absolute Radio Breakfast Show. When he was asked what series he would like to star on if the opportunity came along, he said, "Downton Abbey. Maybe like a guest piano tuner."

Then with a Yorkshire accent, he said, "Oh, regular tuning, sir."

The host of the radio breakfast show then mentioned that series creator Julian Fellowes could potentially write Martin in for the Christmas episode.

The singer responded, "It's not too late."

The site had a list of other big names who have expressed interest in joining the PBS drama. This includes Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian and Cate Blanchett who seemed to go out of her way for this chance.

"I did have words and I followed up with my agent, no call has yet been received," the actress said earlier this year. "But I'm seeing the girls [from the show] again today so I'll get them to put a good word in."

Downton Abbey Season 6 premieres in the United States on Sunday, January 3 on PBS.
