Love him or hate him, there's no denying that Donald Trump is indeed the most talked about man of the year. And while he definitely has his supporters and critics, Hollywood can't help but be fascinated with the man, who is currently tipped to be the Republican party's official nominee in the 2016 race to the White House.

According to The Guardian on Sunday, while actress Cate Blanchett hasn't voiced her support or her disdain for the businessman, she has revealed that she would absolutely love to play him on the big screen.

Speaking about empathy, the Australian beauty said, "I think that empathy is a noble cause. I think a point of understanding is probably a good thing. I mean, with some people it's harder than with others. If I was playing Donald Trump, it might be a tall order.... I would play Donald Trump in a heartbeat. The comb-over? I'm there. Todd Haynes could make a whole new film. Six different incarnations of Trump."

But when it comes to empathy, it doesn't look like Trump fully understands the word. Just last week he suggested that women are better off wearing burkas than make-up.

According to Naughty Gossip, the businessman, who is currently topping the polls ahead of rivals like Ben Carson and Marco Rubio, said that the United States should not use its resources to help liberate women who are required to only wear burkas in some parts of the world.

He said, "They want to. What the hell are we getting involved for? You don't have to put on make-up. . . . Wouldn't that be easier? I tell ya, if I was a woman," before waving his hand over his face to signal a burka.

Trump then added, "I'm ready darling, let's go."
