'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Season 8: Kandi Burruss Admits She 'Purposely' Fell Out With Phaedra Parks, Explains Why[VIDEO]
We have a first look at why the friendship between Phaedra Parks and Kandi Burruss really ended on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Kandi Burruss Was MIA During Phaedra Parks’ Birthday Festivities, Are The Two Still Feuding?
While it was said in the season eight opener that aired Sunday that Parks’ husband Apollo Nida owed Burruss’ husband Todd Tucker thousands of dollars after producing a fitness tape for him, the real reason the two ladies parted ways has nothing to do with money.
The two ex besties sit down together in a teaser for the next upcoming episode.
Burruss points out that she has noticed that she and Parks aren’t as close as they once were. Parks was even in Burruss’ wedding to Tucker last year. But Burruss confessed that she “purposely” kept some distance between her and Parks.
“I was pulling all the way back. Because obviously I told you before I did not like what was said.”
When Parks questioned what it was she “said” that turned off Burruss, she was reminded of a conversation she had with the show’s former star NeNe Leakes. Parks told Leakes she felt like Leakes was being “the most supportive” when it came to being there for Parks while she went through drama with her husband, Apollo Nida, who is now serving time in jail for fraud. She added that she thought Burruss would have been more than anyone, but Burruss was nearly MIA.
But Burruss told Parks that when she did try to check on her, “You would make it seem like you were good” then switched up the story when she spoke to other people.
“That pissed me off,” Burruss said. “For the past few years I felt like anytime we got together is because I called you…You don’t reach out to me like that. That irritated me.”
Parks then revealed that she found out from a “stranger” that Burruss and Tucker were keeping some of Nida’s assets at their house without her knowledge.
