'Arrow' Season 4 Spoilers: Damien Darhk To Do 'Horribly, Dark Things' After Finding Out About Oliver's Candidacy [VIDEO]
A recent TVLine spoiler report reveals that Oliver's (Stephen Amell) mayoral candidacy is going to stir things up with Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) in Arrow.
Showrunner Wendy Mericle and McDonough dished about what fans can expect from the two antagonists. Mericle revealed that Oliver's candidacy "will not sit well" with Darhk and he will be spurred to do something about it. Darhk has always had a bit of an issue with the person who takes the position and not necessarily Oliver.
"He has a history of not wanting anybody taking over that position." even if it's "someone he quite frankly doesn't take as a serious threat."

McDonough went on to add that intially Darhk will find the whole affair amusing and perhaps even advantageous, saying he "loves it at first because he thinks he can use him as his pawn. We then find out rather quickly that that pawn is not for sale, which certainly sets [Damien] off and makes [him] do some really horribly, dark things."
In a previous interview with TVLine, Amell and Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity) spoke about Oliver running for mayor in season 4 of Arrow, and what repurcussions it might have for the people close to Oliver.
For one, even though Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is slightly hesitant about Oliver's big move, she will be supporting him unconditionally.
Rickards stated that Felicity is going to be there for her partner every way she can.
"The first moment was like, 'Ohhhkay, honey, maybe we should talk about that,'" Rickards said. "And then there's this unbound support that they have for each other. It's this idea of, 'We can do anything even though it's dangerous. This is what we have signed up for and this is going to be our life. Therefore, we will try this new idea you have, and I'm there to support you unconditionally."
The latest episode of Arrow aired on Nov. 9 on The CW.
