Is There Enough 'Common Ground' For A Crossover To Happen Soon Between 'The Vampire Diaries' & 'The Originals'?

The episode, Best Served Cold, will include plotting and executing of Stefan's (Paul Wesley) plan to kill Julian (Todd Lasance) since he knows he is the reason Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore) lost their child.

That aside, Caroline (Candice King) will show signs of jealousy and anger toward Stefan since he is hiding things from her. Plus, she will learn Valerie stayed over.

Does 'The Vampire Diaries' Star Jodi Lyn O'Keefe Know Which Vampire Spirit Is Inside Jo?

The CW Television Network's YouTube channel uploaded a sneak peek clip into the episode airing later on, in which Caroline confronts Stefan after seeing Valerie in nothing more than a towel.

The scene opens with Caroline being her usual sweet self until she hears and sees Valerie.

"Silly, what are you doing down here?" she asks Stefan, which prompts Valerie to interrupt, saying, "That would be my fault."

Valerie came down in her towel to let Stefan know she used the rest of his shampoo.

Caroline's jealousy and anger begins to show as she snaps, "Valerie, I didn't know that you were staying here."

"Stayed," Stefan butts in with, adding, "Past tense. Just one night."

Valerie then announces that she'll leave to put clothes on, which leaves a slightly fuming Caroline with Stefan.

"Explain," Caroline demands of Stefan, which leads to him divulging his mother wants to raise Julian from the dead, but Valerie tried to burn his body so Stefan wants to protect Valerie.

"Yeah, just not connecting those dots," Caroline tells him in regard to his plans to protect Valerie.

"Well maybe you can just trust me that I know what I'm doing," Stefan says to her, but she looks unsure if she can.

The Vampire Diaries airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
