While the reality star had reportedly been paid a whopping $450,000 for past seasons, a new report claims she was “working for free” after returning to the Bravo reality series for season six.
“Kim wasn’t paid a dime to return to RHOBH,” an insider told Life & Style on Thursday. “She was desperate to get back on TV to restore her reputation.”

In June, following a slew of alcohol relapses, one of which resulted in Richards' public intoxication arrest, the longtime reality star was said to have been fired from the series after starring in a full-time role for the show's first five seasons. Weeks ago, however, producers appeared to have a change of heart, and Richards was later spotted filming with Brandi Glanville and Yolanda Foster.
According to Life & Style, Richards' friends are concerned about her reality return. Although she is currently attending AA meetings and seeing a psychiatrist, Richards' pals reportedly feel that going back to the show will take away from her recovery.
