The preview and synopsis for the upcoming episode, titled 'Depravity Standard,' of season 17 of Law & Order SVU were recently revealed.

Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) is going to be in a very tough position as she will be confronted with a case that has "haunted Benson her entire career." Lewis Hoda (Tom Sizemore) will return and plead not guilty stating that he has been framed. In the clip Benson looks totally frazzled by the proceedings as Hoda claims his innocence and she is put back in the hot seat to solve this case.

This episode will also mark the return of BD Wong as Dr. Huang.

In other news related to the show, a recent TVLine report revealed the main plot of an upcoming episode directed by Hargitay. The episode, the title of which is unknown yet, reveals that the case will have to do with date rape in a high school.

Here's the official synopsis:

"Lewis Hoda (Tom Sizemore) begins his trial on child abduction. However, a plea deal is refused and Barba must face a former SVU colleague, Dr. Huang (BD Wong). Barba is forced to put his faith into very old evidence to land the offender in prison."

The episode will air on Nov. 18.
