'Batman v Superman' News: Christian Bale Reveals If He's Making Cameo As Bruce Wayne In 2016 Film
Christian Bale will not show up in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as Batman, despite one fan's complicated theory.
Will The Huge Ensemble Of 'Batman v Superman' Make It Feel Overstuffed?
The fan theory, written at TotalSpoiler.com, asserts that Ben Affleck is not necessarily playing Bruce Wayne in Batman v Superman - he is simply playing a man who assumes the identity of Batman. The theory states that Bale will return to his role as Bruce Wayne and show up in the movie as a big plot twist.
Few who have commented on the theory actually believe it to be true, but now the theory can officially be put to bed.

Bale himself spoke about this theory, telling Entertainment Tonight, "I haven't heard that. This is the first I've heard of it. I think it's pretty clear that Ben [Affleck] is playing Batman now."
And to settle things further, Bale dismissed the entire premise that he will make a cameo appearance as Bruce Wayne:
"No, it's not happening."
Now that that's put to bed, we can focus on what's actually happening in the movie. the blockbuster centers on Batman and Superman (Henry Cavill) coming into conflict as Batman tries to protect citizens from a future Superman attack in the wake of the destruction at Metropolis.
The film also stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor Jr., Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
