'House of Cards' Season 4 Spoilers: Frank and Claire To Adopt A Child To Keep Up Farce Of Marriage? [VIDEO]
New reports have added another layer of intrigue to the Frank (Kevin Spacey) and Claire (Robin Wright) dynamic in season 4 of House of Cards.
Hillary Clinton Thinks Show Is 'Bad TV'?
So far we have been led to believe that the couple has officially parted ways and Claire will actually trun on Frank in the next chapter, probably be his most dangerous enemy. But a VineReport post reiterates the rumors that the couple might actualy adopt a child in the upcoming season. As the speculation swirls, the couple will somehow pick up the pieces and even if they can't stand each other will need to go the extra mile to keep the farce of a happy family going by adopting a child. It does add up, as Claire's divorcing Frank will land the greatest blow to his political career. Perhaps not far from the Bill Clinton fiasco with Monica Lewinsky.
In fact recently, Dana Brunetto, who is the director of Kevin Spacey's production company that supports House of Cards, mentioned the Clintons as being one of the inspirations behind the Underwoods.
New Characters To Threaten Frank In Season 4?
One of the highlights of the interview with ABC had to do with Brunetto talking about how close House of Cards was to the popular politics of the country. Brunetto revealed that alot of people picked different references from American political history. More interestingly, he even dropped the Clintons as one of the various inspirations behind the show:
"It's funny, because people see a lot of different people and presidents in all the different characters. I think we pull from a lot of different politics, not just from the US but all over. We pull them all together into some really juicy stories. It's quite funny, the first season we thought we were pushing it a little too far when we were shooting it, but when we went home at night and watched the news we were like, 'Maybe we're not pushing it far enough.'
Season 4 of House of Cards will premiere in 2017.
