NCIS will drop a new episode tonight, Nov. 17, titled "Day in Court." The ep will delve further into the marital problems between Eleanor "Ellie" Bishop (Emily Wickersham) and her husband, NSA Attorney Jake Malloy (Jamie Bamber).

Luca Sciuto Will Appear In 'Special Crossover' Of 'NCIS' & 'NCIS: New Orleans'

Previously, the NCIS YouTube channel teased a preview of the episode, wherein Gibbs (Mark Harmon) tells Jake to leave while the NSA employee is at his wife's place of work.

Bishop's relationship woes won't be the main focus of the episode, though. It will rather be a case the team is working on, in which a petty officer volunteers to be court martialed - as long as the NCIS team agrees to conduct an investigation after his murder case is dismissed because of a mishandled warrant (as noted in the press release).

'The Bionic Woman' Star Will Portray Bishop's Mom On 'NCIS'

The NCIS YouTube channel released a new sneak peek into the episode, showing Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and the other NCIS team members discussing the petty officer that is the subject of the case.

DiNozzo cannot wrap his mind about the fact that Navy Petty Officer Third Class Kyle Friedgen (Kelly Blatz) wants the team to arrest him.

"He wants us to arrest him?" DiNozzo questions in the clip above, which Gibbs confirms.

"You gotta give the guy credit," Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) chimes in, "It's a noble request."

Gibbs claims it's the petty officer's lawyer that deserves the credit, though, since he knows the team will then be able to conduct their own investigation, which is what the officer and his lawyer want.

"Why would he want us involved?" Bishop asks.

"He swears he's innocent," Gibbs dishes in the clip, prompting DiNozzo to talk about how many inmates claim they're innocent. But Gibbs points out that the petty officer in question is not in prison; they will have to do their research on him and the victim.

"Well Kyle Friedgen and Joy Vanatter dated in high school," McGee explains, adding, "He got her pregnant when she was 16. Had an abortion. A year later they got into a violent argument and he was arrested for abuse."

DiNozzo follows up that Friedgen eventually enlisted in the Navy upon turning 18 after a year of probation.

"Since then it appears that he's gotten his life in order," McGee adds, sharing that the petty officer has "a clean military record" and got married two years ago to his wife Hanna (Erinn Westbrook). The married couple is expecting their first child too.

Bishop then briefs the team on Joy. She has a colorful criminal history of charges for prostitution and drugs.

Gibbs then dishes out orders for DiNozzo and McGee to head to Baltimore for answers.

"Look at this with fresh eyes," Gibbs concludes as the team begins to clear out of NCIS HQ.

NCIS airs on Tuesdays on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.
