Chris Hemsworth has officially been released from the title of People's reigning Sexiest Man Alive and handed the crown off to none other than David Beckham.

Beckham, 40, was officially revealed as the magazine's pick for the title in 2015, and graces the magazine's newest issue hitting stands soon, and in the accompanying interview, Beckham humbly claims that he isn't sure he is genuinely all that sexy and deserving of the title.

"I never feel that I'm an attractive, sexy, person," he says. "I mean I like to wear nice clothes and nice suits and look and feel good, but I don't ever think of myself that way."

And he apparently isn't the only one who feels that way, as he also revealed that his sons, Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 12, and Cruz, 10, were shocked when he told them they won, with Brooklyn having a particularly hilarious reaction.

"We kind of laughed about it with the boys and the boys kind of laughed at me and said, 'Really?! Sexiest man alive? Really?'" Beckham recalled. "Brooklyn was the one who was like, 'Are you sure it's not me that's meant to be there today?'"

However, his wife, fashion designer and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, was completely supportive.

"I would hope that she feels that way about me all the time anyway!" Beckham said. "But she said, 'Congratulations!'"
