Phaedra Parks of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta has come clean about the current status of her friendship with her co-star Kandi Burruss. There was speculation last week after she was MIA during Burruss’ baby shower, as well as last month Burruss wasn’t spotted celebrating Parks’ birthday.

The two ladies have had lots of drama ever since last season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and it has even continued into the current episodes.

But Parks told Bravo TV Tuesday that there is still a chance for them to fix their friendship.

“I think ultimately time will tell, but I am hoping we are on the right track. The two of us had a close bond. Kandi will always have a place in my heart. The past year was difficult for me, and there were instances where our relationship was tested. Communication wasn’t always what it should have been, and I think our friendship took a bit of a beating.”

She added that she is “optimistic” they will get through it.

She also opened up about one of Burruss’ employees, Don Juan, who called Parks out for being fake after their sit down that aired Sunday ended with both Burruss and Parks in tears.

“I was a bit confused by the comments made by Kandi’s employee after I left; I am not sure why he had a such a thorn in his side about me. He eavesdropped on our conversation, snuck out, and then waited until I left to speak his mind; which is the very definition of a coward. But I trust Kandi will not be influenced by such nonsense.”

The women fell out after Parks said Burruss was not supportive during her husband, Apollo Nida’s legal woes. But It also came out this season that Nida owes Burruss’ husband, Todd Tucker, about $8,000 after producing his workout video.

Interestingly enough, Tucker fired shots at Nida and possibly Parks on social media earlier this month.
