Tapeworm Inside A Woman's Brain: Mom Suffering Discovers Her Severe Headache Finds Out The Bizzarre Reason Why
The head is one of the most common sites of pain in the body. Headache is a pain or discomfort in any region of the head. Serious causes of headaches are rare. Most people with headaches can feel much better by making lifestyle changes, like learning ways to relax or drinking more water. But for this 31-year-old mom from Texas, a headache was a warning.
She suffered months of excruciating headaches which made her feeling helpless. Aside from massive headaches, she also experienced recurring sight impairments to the point that she could not see clearly.
Docters perfromed a CT scan and believed she had a brain tumor when they saw the abnormality. A more refined MRI scan revealed the truth and finally discovered the cause of her suffering: multiple tapeworm eggs growing inside her brain. Her doctor's believed that she may have come in contact with the parasite during her trip to Mexico nearly two years ago, where she likely ingested food or water contaminated with fecal material.
With surgery, a total of eight tapeworm eggs were remove.
