Viral News 2015: What The College Students Did To An Old Cafeteria Worker Was Inspiring [VIDEO]
Kathryn Thompson from Acorn Coffee Shop has never dreamed of anything big, but for her and her family to go on a trip to Disney World. It all started when Thompson said something about how she really wanted to take her family to the "Happiest Place on Earth" to two students at Elon University, Taylor Zisholtz and Lucy Smith-Williams.
"I just want that so badly. I have never been anywhere but here." the worker shared.
Zisholtz and Smith-Williams saw Thompson's situation as a big opportunity for them to make someone's dream come true. They immediately created the GoFundMe campaign in September to raise money for the old woman and her family which includes her son, two grandsons and her daughter-in-law. The Elon community's donations made Thompson's dream a reality and raised $6,500.
