Beyonce Mansion, Buys $5.9 Million Houston Home For Mother Tina Knowles
Beyonce had a successful fiscal year and decided to spoil someone other than her daughter Blue Ivy Carter and her husband, Jay-Z to share her success with. The "Put A Ring On It" singer bought her mother, Tina Knowles, a lavish mansion in their native city of Houston.
According to Mail Online, Beyonce is in the process of purchasing a sprawling mansion for her mother for $5.9 million. The sale price is considered a steal as the original asking price was nearly four times more that the price she is paying for it. Three years ago it was up for grabs for $20 million. The palatial home is located in Houston's prestigious Piney Point village area and contains six bedrooms and 16 bathrooms.
HoustonMansion.com released images of the mansion on Jan. 23. According to the sales property listing by a real estate agent, the home offers many luxuries including two servant quarters-style apartments attached, European architecture that includes panels from France, stained glass from Argentina and four kitchens. One of the kitchens is on the third floor and there are dining rooms that can entertain a small dinner party for 30 people and another larger one that allows the Knowles' family to seat up to 80 guests. There is a Jacuzzi tub, crystal chandeliers, columns, marble floors and gold-plated fixtures in the kitchens and bathrooms. The main kitchen has two subzero refrigerators, double ovens, dual microwaves, three sinks, an ice maker and hidden storage.
The suspended staircases lead to the second floor that has another living room with a fireplace and balcony; three bedrooms with walk-in closets and a fitness room. The mirrored elevator will take Ms. Knowles, 58, to the third floor which has a game room and home theater, pool and other gaming tables. Seating is provided in leather banquettes, suede upholstered walls and heavy custom-lined black-out draperies.
$5.9 million is considered a paltry price for the "Bootylicious" singer, considering her earnings in the past year. Forbes ranked Beyonce #32 in their Power Women List and #16 on their Celebrity 100 list. According to Forbes, Beyonce earned $40million between the summer of 2011 and the summer of 2012. And this was before she struck her $50 million deal with Pepsi.
Enstars reported on Dec. 10 that she struck the lucrative deal ahead of her Super Bowl half-time show performance which the beverage company sponsors.
