Ciara News: Russell Wilson Urging Fans To Stop Blaming His Girlfriend For His Losses [VIDEO]
It looks like Russell Wilson is defending his girlfriend more these days than his own team. Apparently, the Seattle Superhawks quarterback wants the fans to quit hating on his girlfriend Ciara, as he says she has nothing to do with the NFL team's less than stellar performances.
According to the Christian Post on Saturday, Wilson is insisting that his private life has nothing to do with his fame day performance even though his team has a 4-5 record this season so far.
The QB said, ""People want to make it into something else, but for me I love the game of football. I love coming to work. I love getting here early and leaving late. That's what it's about. ... Nothing's changed. We just need to find ways to win."
But this isn't the first time that fans have been worried about Wilson's performance as they think that Ciara is more like a bad luck charm for the team the same way Jessica Simpson was back in 2007 when she was dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
A GoFundMe page was even created to help Ciara's flagging career so she can concentrate more on her music than her man.
"After seeing how great Future Hendrix's career has been since Ciara broke up with him, we think the same thing can happen to Russell Wilson," the GoFundMe campaign reportedly read before being removed.
So far, Ciara herself has not commented on the criticism.
