Many have speculated the death of Frank (Kevin Spacey) since season 2 of House of Cards, owing to the plot of the BBC original, the Netflix show is inspired from.

Following suit, even this year rumors are aswirl about season 4 being the end of the show with Frank's death. But now we have a new Vine report suggesting the Claire (Robin Wright) might also have to see a fatal end with Frank. This would be a new sordid twist on the tale if it were to happen. The report rightly suggests that Claire has also bloodied her hands in the past and been almost just as ruthless as Frank in helping achieve their collective ambition. Although, she seems to have had enough of it in the last season, she is yet to pat her penance.

In other ideas that have bounced off about the couple's arc in the next season, considering the real plot is kept under tight lock and key, imagine Frank and Claire keeping up the farce of marriage by adopting a child.

Hillary Clinton Thinks 'House of Cards' Is 'Bad TV'?

It does add up, as Claire's divorcing Frank will land the greatest blow to his political career. Perhaps not far from the Bill Clinton fiasco with Monica Lewinsky.

In fact recently, Dana Brunetto, who is the director of Kevin Spacey's production company that supportsHouse of Cards, mentioned the Clintons as being one of the inspirations behind the Underwoods.

One of the highlights of the interview with ABC had to do with Brunetto talking about how close House of Cards was to the popular politics of the country. Brunetto revealed that alot of people picked different references from American political history. More interestingly, he even dropped the Clintons as one of the various inspirations behind the show:

"It's funny, because people see a lot of different people and presidents in all the different characters. I think we pull from a lot of different politics, not just from the US but all over. We pull them all together into some really juicy stories. It's quite funny, the first season we thought we were pushing it a little too far when we were shooting it, but when we went home at night and watched the news we were like, 'Maybe we're not pushing it far enough.'

Season 4 of House of Cards will premiere in 2017.
