Coachella 2013 Lineup: Yeah Yeah Yeas, Jurassic 5, Moby, Wu-Tang Clan & More (SEE LIST)
The music festival Coachella released their 2013 lineup on Twitter on Thursday, Jan. 24.
Coachella Music Festival will take place over the span of two weekends: April 12-14 and April 19-21. For the second time, the annual event, which is taking place for the 14th year in a row, will offer the same acts over two weekends due to its increasing audience numbers over the years.
The same artists will perform on the same day each weekend. For Friday, April 12 and 19, performers include the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Lou Reed, Bassnectar and a reunited Jurassic 5; Saturday, April 13 and 20 artists include the XX, Sigur Ros, New Order, Hot Chip, Grizzly Bear, Moby, the Violent Femmes and The Postal Service reunion.
The festival's closing acts on Sunday, April 14 and 21 are Nick Cave, Vampire Weekend, Social Distortion, the Lumineers, Paul Oakenfold, the Gaslight Anthem, and Wu-Tang Clan, among others.
Festival passes for both weekend go on sale Tuesday, Jan. 29, and are expected to sell out fast- last year's tickets were gone in less than two hours. The highlight from the 2012 festival was when Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg resurrected late rapper Tupac Shakur onstage in a hologram while singing hit songs.
Sales begin Jan, 29 at 10 a.m. PST. Prices are $349 for a general admission ticket and $799 for VIP passes.
