It seems like fans are starting to let go of the hope that Witches of East End will return to television.

Even though it was announced more than a year ago that the series has been canceled after two seasons, a petition was released where fans have been signing non-stop to give hope for a renewal. While thousands of people have been signing, the numbers haven't been increasing this week as much as before.
Last week, there were more than 230,000 signatures. As of Monday, only about 1,000 more were added, clearly showing that it's taking a longer time to get more people on there.

But perhaps, this isn't the worst thing to happen since the show is getting closure after all. In a novel series called Summer of East End: Triple Moon, writer Melissa de la Cruz is giving answers to what should've taken place had the series been renewed for a third season.
According to Yahoo!, some answers include what will take place in Freya and Killian's romance, if Frederick will ever come back, and if Dash and Killian will be trapped in each other's bodies forever.
De la Cruz mentioned that Fox 21 wanted her to keep a few storylines private "just in case the show ever gets picked up again." While that doesn't seem too likely yet, it could be a 'never say never' bet at this point.
