Caleb Howard Story: How This Dog Changed The Life Of A Boy With Brain Injury [VIDEO]
Caleb Howard was in a head-on car collision. The impact of the sudden collision broke his lower femur, knee, his arm, killed millions of his brain cells and suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury. Caleb's parents found it hard to deal with his bone surgeries and to overcome a TBI was nearly impossible.
The young boy's parents were desperate and were seeking for a solution to improve his ability to recovery. They saw a miracle when a dog named 'Colonel' appeared and immediately stimulated Caleb which helped the boy to build self-confidence in interacting physically. Colonel is a special therapy dog helping Caleb to be responsive.
In a brief period of time, Caleb learned to obtain control over his hands by petting Colonel and throwing a ball for the dog to fetch.
