In the second week of his second term, President Obama welcomed the 2012 NBA Champions, the Miami Heat, to the White House.

"Today, I am honored to a little up-and-coming basketball team to the White House called the World Champion Miami Heat," he said.

Obama starts off by jokingly crediting himself as one of the reasons which led to the Heat winning the NBA title.

"Now, I'm not trying to take all the credit, Coach, but I think that it's clear that going up against me prepared them to take on Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. It sharpened their skills. It gave them the competitive edge that they needed. And I think part of the reason they came back today is they want another shot at the old guy."

The president also alluded The Miami Heat to a valuable life lesson in which we all should know - if at first you don't succeed, brush yourself and try again.

"When you fall, the real test is whether you can ignore the naysayers, pick yourself up and try again. And that's true in basketball, but it's also true in life. And that's exactly what these guys did."

It's safe to say the President knows his basketball terminology. He coined Dwayne Wade as "working on his core", and Lebron James learning "post-moves" from Hakim.

"We saw Dwayne Wade, the heart and soul of this team do whatever it takes to win, including leading the team in blocks," Obama added.

President Obama had the crowd laughing while putting Dwayne Wade on this spot to show off his GQ skills and talking about the team's dance moves.

The president also thanked the Heat for their off-the court humilities. Obama said one of the things he's most proud of is that many of the players of the team - Dwayne Wade, Lebron James and Dwayne Wade "take their roles as fathers seriously."

James took the mic to express his appreciation to the President. "We just thank you for allowing us to be in the White House. We are in the white house. Mama, I made it!"
