Funny guy Jordan Peele is engaged but the way he announced it is what has us all talking.

The Key & Peele star revealed that he popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, actress Chelsea Peretti of Brooklyn Nine Nine via Twitter on Saturday.

He kept it simple with a period and a diamond ring Emoji.

Peretti seemed to be all for it as she gushed about her now fiance and revealed how he actually popped the question. She tweeted Saturday afternoon, “My fiancé Jordan Peele proposed to me last night during the family talent show lolol”

He wouldn’t be the Peele we know and love if he didn’t make a joke about the big moment. He followed his tweet up with a photo of an NFL play in which a football player catches the ball in quite the play. He added, “Had to snag my girl Chelsea Peretti like…”


Celebrities also responded to the news. Jason Mitchell pleaded with the family to take him into what he is convinced will be ‘the funniest household in the world.” Peele wasn’t completely against the idea.

Singer T-Pain also shared his congrats on Instagram.
