Frank Ocean Wants Chris Brown to be Charged for Fight, Brown Says He’s Innocent and Has Proof
Investigators are looking to find out who started the brawl between singers Chris Brown and Frank Ocean.
Ocean, 25, wants Brown to be charged for the fight but Brown, 23, claimed he was the victim. L.A. County Sheriff’s spokesperson Steve Whitmore told Reuters that Ocean “is desirous of prosecution in this incident.”
Brown could have his probation revoked if charges are filed against him. The singer’s long-time lawyer, Mark Geragos, maintained Brown innocence and reached out to detectives to clear the singer's name.
LAPD told TMZ that they interviewed Ocean, who they referred to as the victim. A short while later, the “Thinking Bout You” singer confirmed the fight by posting on Twitter, “got jumped by chris and a couple of guys. lol. I only wish Everest was there.” Ocean, who is nominated for a Grammy, said that he is unable to play an instrument due to a cut he acquired on his finger.
“Cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the grammys,” he wrote.
According to TMZ, Geragos has a surveillance tape of the fight that showed Brown did nothing wrong. Unfortunate for his defense, the video also cleared Ocean of any wrong doing, as it does not show the singer throwing a punch either. The recording does not catch the fight until the end, when it was taken from the parking into the lobby.
As for why Brown left before the police arrived? TMZ reported that Geragos ordered Brown to leave if he faced a troubling situation.
