Per the recently revealed synopsis of the upcoming episode of season 7 of The Good Wife, it seems like Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Jason (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) won't be getting much time together.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Character Jason Set To Exit?

After Eli's (Alan Cumming) failed attempts to pull the two apart and warn Alicia, Ruth (Margo Martindale) will be on their case, plotting to get Jason away from Alicia by getting him a new job. According to the synopsis, Ruth will try and get Courtney Paige (Vanessa Williams) to hire Jason's services.

The episode, titled 'KSR,' will also be the mid-season finale for the CBS legal drama.

Could Hillary Clinton Guest Star In An Upcoming Episode?

In a recent interview with TVGuide, Morgan dished about the future of the duo in season 7 of The Good Wife. When asked about what lies ahead for them, Morgan seemed quite clueless himself, stating he was also waiting to find out.

"I'm kind of waiting to see what happens myself. ... I can't believe Peter showed up. Third-wheeling! And then she slept with him! But it was a pacifier in the meantime since she couldn't be with Jason," he said.

While Morgan doesn't know much, he strongly hinted at the fact that the relationship is not going to be nipped in the bud because of Eli's concerns. If anything, it seems like the feelings between him and Alicia are palpably strong.

"I think these two are doing a little dance around each other and that's not really over yet," Morgan said. "I honestly don't know what's going to happen with them. [Creators Robert and Michelle King] have a way of not telling me anything... The dance up until this point has been kind of interesting and there's some more interesting stuff coming up. That goes back to the fact there's an attraction between them, definitely. I think he likes her and he's very intrigued by her."

Finally, the actor revealed that there will be a way—Jason is the kind of guy who'd make things work out between them, adding that he'd "find a way."

"I do think he's a stand-up guy. If he's having these strong feelings toward her and her toward him, I think he'll find a way to cross that line with Alicia," Morgan said. "As much as a good guy I think he is -- he may not be the greatest guy but I don't think he's a sociopath -- he also lives by the seat of his pants and will follow his heart. He's passionate about right and wrong and probably about love."

Here's the official synopsis:

"Alicia and Lucca defend a well-respected surgeon accused of plotting to commit a crime. Also, Ruth schemes to remove Jason from Alicia's life by trying to persuade Courtney Paige (Vanessa Williams) to hire him for business in another state."

The episode will air on Dec. 13 on CBS.
