George Clooney paid for a diner's bill at a restaurant in Berlin on Jan. 25 after the actor thought his party was being too loud and disruptive, according to UPI.

The German man, whose name was not released to the public, told the local newspaper Bild he was eating Friday evening at the Grill Royal restaurant in Berlin when he was told by his waiter that his $134.66 bill had been paid for by Clooney, who had been dining with friends at the next table. The diner did not recognize the "Ocean's Eleven" actor at first, and the waiter said Clooney wanted to cover the bill because he believed he and his friends had been rude while the man was trying to eat his dinner.

"That's not true at all. They had behaved in a very cultivated manner. I was stunned," the man said. He also left his business card for the actor, hoping to one day repay the favor.

The diner only realized who Clooney was once he left the restaurant.

The film also stars Matt Damon, Cate Blanchett and Bill Murray as a crew of art historians and museum curators who united to recover renown works of art stolen by Nazis before it was destroyed by Hitler at the end of of World War II, according to IMDb.
