The mid-season premiere date for the show has finally been revealed. The ABC series is set to return with the rest of this chapter on February 11, 2016. Well, we were hoping it would be back sooner in January like lots of other shows who are taking a break through the holiday season.
iDigitalTimes reported the return date for the show.
'There's An Intimacy Between' Wes And Annalise
Meanwhile, to pacify fans who are busy solving the rest of the puzzle and eagerly anticipating the aftermath of Annalise's (Viola Davis) shooting in the mid-season finale, showrunner Pete Nowalk has offered some insights.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Nowalk hinted at the fact that nobody could be really be trusted. The showrunner revealed that when the series returns, it will be two weeks after Annalise's shooting.
He gave this detail away while talking about Asher's (Matt McGorry) involvement with the murder crew going forward.
"He is definitely part of the murder crew, especially now that he knows they killed Sam (Tom Verica)," he said. "Out of all of them he is the least equipped emotionally and psychologically to handle this in an OK manner. What's fun about when we come back is it will be two weeks later and we'll see how the dynamics have changed and if any of them have been able to move on from this."
In the interview, Norwalk also dished about Wes's (Alfred Enoch) character arc going forward in the ABC show.
After the shocking reveal that Wes shot Annalise in the fall finale of the series, things are obviously going to get complicated for Wes. The consequences will be very far reaching according to Nowalk.
"Obviously he shot to kill; he definitely shot out of anger and emotion," he said. "And then all of a sudden his whole life changed with one word. It makes him reassess everything. Wes had a picture and a story of what his past was, and now that Annalise knows what his name used to be and what was going on, he's going to have to question his entire life."
The finale episode, titled "What Did We Do?," aired on ABC on Nov. 19.
