On Wednesday, Daily Mail announced that more than a dozen states have been affected by this scare with a number of items being recalled by the FDA. There were apparently fears of contamination of celery from a California farm and now places in Georgia and Hawaii are being speculated.
In California Costco stores, the chicken salad had been pulled from shelves due to the worry about contamination in celery. Now more than 155,000 items are being suspected by health officials in farther states. Stores include Albertson's, Sam's Club, Safeway and 7-Eleven are in the recall of food that consist of packaged dinners and vegetable trays.

Not to mention, Starbucks has had to pull turkey sandwiches in California, Oregon and Nevada.
Officials announced that people should throw away their chicken salad from Costco if it was bought on or before November 20.
The site mentioned that E.coli can be light-threatening although there have been no reported deaths at this point. Five people have been taken to the hospital though, two of them with kidney failure.
Apparently, the sickness is spreading all over the country with six illnesses happening in Montana. There were also five in Utah, four in Colorado, and one in California as well as one in Missouri and Virginia.
There was also an E.coli scare happening in Chipotle restaurants in California.
