Ian McIntosh News: This Skier Falls 1,600 Feet, How He Survived Is A Miracle
Ian McIntosh, a pro skier was filming a scene for the movie Paradise Waits when the unthinkable happened. McIntosh thought he had carefully planned out his run, but actually missed a deadly five foot trench on one of his turns.
That trench sent him into a free-fall down the side of the mountain with no way to stop or receive help. On how dangerous this fall was, it was so dangerous that anyone would likely survive if they fall. However, luck was on McIntosh's side that day when he traveled about 1,600 feet in a minute. Miraculously and incredibly, he survived with some quick thinking.
McIntosh deployed his airbag to prevent any serious trauma as he descended the mountain.
