‘The Voice’ Season 9 Top 10 Contestants: What Did Korin Bukowski Learn From Competing On Reality Singing Competition? [VIDEO]
The Voice got pretty emotional Tuesday night as Korin Bukowski's elimination got announced.
Jordan Smith Gave Fellow 'Voice' Contestant Braiden Sunshine What Advice About People?
Twice the singer had managed to win the Instant Save performances, but this time, going against one of her own teammates, Braiden Sunshine, and dealing with the overwhelming emotions, she fumbled through her song choice.
Sunshine actually wanted Bukowski's name to be called, since he's so supportive of his friend, but that is not how things panned out.
Which 'Voice' Contestants Make Up The 'Weird Squad'?
While it's sad that Bukowski is no longer on Team Gwen, she learned a lot by making it into the Top 10 on The Voice this season.
The Voice YouTube channel uploaded her exit interview, in which she divulged how incredible this experience has been regardless of it ending.
"When you're bottom two, two weeks in a row it like eats at you a little bit," Bukowski admitted in the video below, adding, "And being there a third time the emotions just overwhelmed me a little too much. You know the lyrics in the song meant so much to me and then mixed with everything that I was feeling at that very moment."
The Floridian is grateful for all the positive comments she received despite her not-so-great final performance. She even dished that her coach Gwen Stefani "hit it right on the nail," further claiming the coach knows her "so well."
Bukowski then of course got reflective, stating she has been watching for seasons and vowed she'd make it on there herself "one day," which has obviously come true.
At this point, the young singer got choked up and tears welled in her eyes as she revealed, "I never imagined it would be as rewarding as it has been."
"Never in a million years would I have thought I would get a chair; Top 10 though? Wow! It's been so incredible," Bukowski beamed, explaining, "I've met amazing people. People that I never even thought I'd get to meet let alone have them teach me how they got to the point in their careers that they are now."
"And I have to say that this experience, all the friends I've made will be with me forever," she happily shared, adding, "You know Gwen was the only chair that turned for me. And she had faith in me since the beginning."
The now-eliminated contestant revealed she and Stefani "bonded way more than I had imagined we would."
"We get each other," she added, explaining, "Getting to meet your idol is one thing. Getting to know that you share something with your idol is a completely different thing."
It sounds like even though Bukowski's journey on The Voice is over, she will have a beautiful relationship with Stefani as well as the other contestants from this season outside of the show.
"I've learned more about myself in this whole experience than I have in like my 21 years of life. I've learned that I am fearless and I am strong. And I can take criticism and I can do all these things that I never thought I could," Bukowski noted, adding, "I never looked at myself as a strong person who could accomplish much, but now I do. I have so much more faith in myself for the future."
The Voice will air on NBC Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
