The holiday season may be taking a darker tone for Keith Urban and his family, as his father's health has deteriorated enough to require hospice care, and unfortunately, things do not look good for him.

Is Keith Urban Hiding A Big Secret About His Hair?

"He's probably only got a few weeks, if that," Urban, 48 said during a tour of his new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame. "I've just been dealing with that that the last couple of days. This has all come at a very strange time where it's typical of a career that has extreme highs and extreme lows all often at the exact same time. So [the exhibit] is bittersweet a little bit because [my dad] is the catalyst for all of this. My dad is the catalyst for me living in America."

Urban also credited his father for his love of country music and getting him into the industry which helped him find fame, by taking a trip together to get a new Don Williams album.

Does Nicole Kidman Want Keith Urban To Star In A Movie With Her?

"I remember saying to my dad, 'Oh, what's the single off this album?'" he recalled. "And he said, 'I don't know. I haven't heard anything off it.' And I said, 'Well, how do you know it's going to be good?' And he said, 'It's Don Williams.' And it hit me in such a way that I thought, 'Oh, I'd love to make records where people know it's going to be solid and they go out and get it.' So I want to thank them for starting me on this journey."

The news about his father comes a little over a year after his wife, Nicole Kidman, also lost her own father.
