Reggie Bush had two successful seasons with the Miami Dolphins but his time as a running back with the team may be coming to an end.

The 27-year-old who led the New Orleans Saints to a Super Bowl title in 2010 could be packing his bags for a new city. Bush said in the past he'd like to stay with Miami for another shot at the Super Bowl, but "it's highly unlikely he stays with Miami," according to CBS.

His two-year contract with the Dolphins will soon expire, which will make him a free agent. The network's NFL insider Jason LaCanfora said, "Miami may not keep Bush around depending on how much he asks for in a new contract."

Bush's performance has been quiet on the field recently - his yards per carry dropped a full yard between 2011 and 2012 and he had his second-lowest reception total, catching fewer passes in Miami than with New Orleans. If Bush does not return this season, the team will have many options that will be "financially prudent."

Bush he plays a position that can easily be replaced in the National Football League. From Terrell Davis in the 1990's to Arian Foster in the last few years, the NFL has many up-and coming star running backs in the draft every season.

With Bush "unlikely to return," the Dolphins have five picks in the first three rounds of the draft this season- one first round pick, plus two picks in the second and third round of the 2013 NFL draft. Several running backs will be available in the draft, including Eddie Lacy, Giovani Bernard, Montee Ball, Andre Ellington, Marcus Lattimore, Stepfan Taylor and Kenjon Barner.

The Dolphins also have an option to turn to second-year running back Lamar Miller, who Miami selected in the fourth round of the 2012 draft. Miller averaged a team-high of 4.0 yards per carry.

With NFL teams like the Cincinatti Bengals and Detroit Lions interested in Bush, he may be able to get a higher contract.

Off the field, Bush is expecting a child with his girlfriend Lilit Avagyan.
