It's been an eventful run for Selena Gomez so far. After releasing her latest album and rumors of her and ex Justin Bieber rekindling old flame, the "Same Old Love" hit maker is making waves for her recent sexy and alluring look.

However, the singer/actress has been fighting another battle. Three years ago, she was diagnosed with lupus and immediately underwent treatment. The NZ Herald reports that the star feels "very healthy" following her chemotherapy.

In an interview with Billboard, Selena says: "It has been overwhelming and the response has been very supportive, which is nice - but it still makes me a little uncomfortable. I waited for the right time to talk about it because I am in a great place and I'm very healthy. I'm not trying to be loud about it: It was time to use my platform to help."

As to how lupus will affect her career, the singer explains: "You'll have it forever. It's kind of one of those situations. You just have to take care of yourself."
