'50 Shades of Grey' Movie Cast: Emilia Clarke Perfect for Anastasia Steele Role?
"Fifty Shades of Grey" movie rumors continue to heat up the web at an astronomical rate.
Many fans of the its racy read continue to scour the Internet while also voicing their opinions on just how the big screen casting process should play out. One of the names that's been brought up to don the part of Anastasia Steele is "Game of Thrones" actor Emilia Clarke.
The following argument was made by a source to back up her potential casting, according to Gather:
"She's young, talented, fine with nudity/sex, pale, petite, big eyes, great body, delicate features, etc... all the things Christian loves about Ana :)."
While the young actress doesn't particularly enjoy doing nude work, she's been more than willing to do so if its appropriate for her character. Clarke's "Game of Thrones" role as Daenerys Targaryan has had her stripping down on more than one occasion. Since the show is no stranger to violence and sex, the part of Ana would indeed be familiar territory.
Being that Clarke is mostly known for her work on television, a role in "Fifty Shades" could broaden her horizons in the film industry. However, she may not need too much help in either department now that she's dating Seth MacFarlane.
The Steele character is described as a 21-year-old virgin who is very quiet. She eventually agrees to the S&M-crazed billionaire Christian Grey's submissive ways.
Other notable actresses who fans are strongly considering as potential candidates for the Steele role include Nina Dobrev of "Vampire Diaries," Lucy Hale of "Pretty Little Liars," and "Gilmore Girls'" Alexis Bledel.
Up until this point, author E.L. James and the producers of the "Fifty Shades" film have remained relatively silent on how the casting process will ultimately unfold. Only time will tell who lands the coveted role of the college graduate-turned Red Room of Pain participant.
