Emily Blunt Says Motherhood Has Changed Her 'Infinitely'

In an interview with The Cut posted on Friday, the actress dished on how she likes to play characters who are about themselves as opposed to making the man look more pleasing.

"You get sent a lot of scripts where the female role is just there to facilitate the man and they're there to boost the man's one-liner or just serve it up to them," Blunt said. John Krasinski & Emily Blunt Flaunt Their Elegant Chemistry At Movie Premiere

Blunt has been married to her husband, John Krasinski, for five years now. Based on how she searches for roles in films, it's possible that her personal life blends just as much in her acting life as the one who can be there for herself. And considering that a diverse group of people go to the movies, it's important to find a role that can apply towards everyone.

"There's this myth that films should just be made for 14-year-old boys, but there's a hell of a lot of other people out there," the actress said.

Blunt and Krasinski are also parents to their daughter, Hazel, who turns two in February.
