The actor, who's reportedly engaged to British singer FKA Twigs, plays photographer Dennis Stock in the film LIFE, which tells the story of classic movie icon James Dean (who is played by Dane DeHaan).
In an interview with The Wrap, DeHaan opened up on what it was like working with Pattinson, giving certain details on how he braces himself as an actor.

"I probably wouldn't have had the opportunity to make this film if Rob didn't want to do it as well," DeHaan said via Saturday's post from Gossip Cop. "He chooses to challenge himself and works with great filmmakers."
The actor also revealed that he was a little hesitant on taking on this role since he shares such a deep connection with Dean.
"They reached out to me and I kept saying I didn't want to do it because James Dean has always been one of my favorite actors, and I hold him in such high regard, it was almost like holy material for me," DeHaan explained. "In a way, I had too much of a personal relationship with him. I have had a poster of James Dean on my wall since I was in college."
LIFE is currently hitting theaters and video-on-demand in the United States.
