Tim McGraw is a new man--with a new album, an upcoming tour and a smoking hot body--all kudos to no alcohol, according to People Magazine.

The 45-year-old Grammy-award winning country singer gave up alcohol five years ago in fear of losing his family. "I felt quitting was something was something I needed to do. I didn't feel I had any moral ground with my kids in the long run."

McGraw has been married to his wife and fellow country star Faith Hill, 45, for almost seven years. Together they have three daughters, Grace Katherine, 15, Maggie Elizabeth, 14 and Audrey Caroline, 11. "I'm in a good place right now," says McGraw.

With his new album, Two Lanes of Freedom set to release Feb. 5, McGraw will be preparing for more than a 30-city tour coming up this spring. In order to get in shape, he takes martial arts lesson with expert stuntman, Roger Yuan, 52, three times a day before he kicks off the tour.

"We work on pulleys, bars and do core training, strength and balanced movements to build up the muscles between the ribs and connective tissues," said Yuan.

"When I hit the stage, my adrenaline is going and I'm ready," McGraw added.

McGraw said he lost a total 40 lbs in the last few years. "I drank a lot from my point of view and i needed to stop," McGraw told People. "The reason you want to do this is to be front of thousands of people playing the guitar and doing what you love. And when I'm on stage, I want to feel good," he added.

"I really feel like this new album is not a culmination of the things I've done, it's a new beginning of the things I am going to do," he said. "I want to enjoy my career and having my family. I have a busy life, but it is a fulfilling life."

In a behind-the-scenes video footage posted on People.com, McGraw said while he doesn't have any secrets for a long marriage, his success to a healthy bond with a family of all women--is saying "Yes maam'" or "nothing at all."
